“Small and mighty” is what the Tango is advertised as, and at just 3.5 inches long and 2.25 inches around and a motor that vibrates your entire hand when you hold it, I’d say WeVibe got that part right!
The shape of this toy is great, with a slanted, gentle tip that settles on your clit, focusing all the power exactly where you want it to be. My personal favorite part of this toy is that it’s so compact and cute. It looks like a lipstick tube. If it slid out of your purse, no one would think twice about it...which opens me up to a bunch of naughty ideas on how (and where) I could use this toy in public...especially when it’s so quiet.
Obviously I will dive into my thoughts on this pocket-sized powerhouse vibe more in-depth below, but as always, let’s get into a brief breakdown first...

One of the common themes in many reviews I’ve read about the Tango is that it’s a great bullet vibrator but it’s got a few problems that make long-term use of the toy a bit tricky. The charger (which I’ll get more into later) is one of these problems - but there have also been reports of the toy just dying after around a year of use.
Now, while I personally think a year of orgasms (or foreplay, if that what you use bullet vibes for) is worth the $79 you’d pay for this vibrator, I do think it’s a very big hassle to have a vibrator you like to use die on you and when you buy a product you are more than likely hoping to use that product for over a year.
That being said, the warranty on the Tango is 2 years, according to my user manual - so if your toy does die sometime in that time period, you may be eligible for a new one.
The charger is the absolute worst.
Please forgive me, WeVibe. I love you, but the charger for this powerful, cute, compact bullet vibe is absolute garbage. I had seen multiple reviews that stated how difficult it was for the charger to be positioned correctly, people reporting they left the toy charging only to come back 10 minutes later to find it not charging anymore, etc.
So naturally, when it came time for me to charge this toy, I was super nervous. The charger is magnetic, so it clicked together with no problem and the yellow light came on to indicate that it was charging. I sat there a few minutes, watching to see what would happen. Nothing - it was charging just fine. I left the room and came back about 20 minutes later to find the yellow light not on. I repositioned the charger and the light came on again. The toy had, at some point, stopped charging.
This has happened to me every single time I’ve tried to charge this toy. No matter how I position the charger, it always, at some point, stops charging. Getting this thing to a full charge should take 90 minutes but it takes much longer when you have to keep plugging it back in.
The short-term quality of this bullet vibrator is great.
The short-term, daily use of this bullet vibe is great. I like using it, I really do. Despite the charging issues and the fact that it vibrates my entire hand when I hold it, it’s shape is perfect and it is exactly what it’s marketed as...a very strong, quiet bullet vibrator for your clit.
We-Vibe packaging is always lovely and their customer service is wonderful.
One thing you can always rely on We-Vibe toys for is the discretion and visual appeal of their toys. They are non-confrontational designs, discretely packaged toys that come with really helpful user manuals, and even a little packet of lube for your first use of the toy.
I have owned a few different We-Vibe toys over the years and have never had a problem with their packaging and their customer service is great, in my experience.
Some thoughts on battery life...
Do I believe this toy can operate for 2 hours on a 90-minute charge? When it’s new, absolutely. Of course, the battery can wear down and become less reliable over time and you may notice a decrease in how long you can use it. But honestly, I can’t see anyone using this toy for longer than 10-20 minutes at a time. I personally only used it for about 4-5 minutes each time because it’s just not super comfortable to hold in your hands.
The vibrations are powerful, which is great, but in such a compact device, it makes holding it a bit tricky. Your fingers vibrate along with the toy and it becomes a bit uncomfortable after a while.
Bullet vibrators always are branded as “whisper quiet” and this is very rarely the case...but with the WeVibe Tango, it really is! I was actually quite shocked at how quiet this toy is when it’s being used. Of course, if you set it down on a surface or don’t hold the tip against anything, it will be louder - but once you’re actually using this toy, it’s really very quiet which is a huge bonus. This fits well with the “compact and cute” theme of the toy, you can take it with you just about anywhere, which is really exciting.
But coming back to the charger...it makes me way less inclined to use it.
One of the main reasons this is not one of the favorites in my naughty drawer is the charger. Knowing that I have to fiddle around with the charger to get the toy back to fully charged almost makes me not want to use it as much, even though I do think it’s a good toy with a strong motor and a good design.
While bullets are typically marketed for solo play (which is what I personally prefer to use them for), there is something to be said about a cute little bullet vibe for couples. Introducing sex toys into your relationship can be a bit daunting, it can feel intimidating and you (or your partner) may initially be a little hesitant. But really, looking at this little vibrator - who can be nervous about that?
Cute, compact, powerful bullet vibes do have a great market for couples who are just starting to explore the use of sex toys together. That being said, I’ve narrowed down a few positions (both for solo use and couples play) that are best with this little pocket vibe.
SOLO - missionary foreplay
I found the best position to use this bullet vibe in (aside from standing in the shower, which I’ll get to…) was to use it in a simple missionary position. Sliding the bullet between my legs and getting warmed up to use another toy for the main event was absolutely perfect. I really like this toy for foreplay. Because the vibration is so powerful and the toy is so compact (both great qualities), the toy is a bit hard to hold on to for a long period of time since it doesn’t have a handle.
The big plus side to this is that the tip of the toy (which is perfectly shaped for the clit) is super close to the motor of the toy, allowing it to be super powerful, but that also means it’s a bit tricky to hold because your fingers are also close to the motor. After a minute or two, your fingers may start to feel tingly from holding it in place, which is why I think it’s better suited for a foreplay toy.
COUPLES - blindfolded fun
Instead of going with super-specific positions in this review, I wanted to highlight a few fun things that can be done with a compact bullet vibe like the Tango. Lying on your back, have your partner blindfold you and tease you with this toy. Trailing the lipstick-shaped edge along your ribcage, getting lower to the spot you’re so desperately craving them to touch, never quite knowing when you’ll feel it because you can’t see anything...it’s really hot.
As I said, with bullet vibes that are compact and powerful, there is so much fun to be had in being a little more spontaneous with your partner - and your partner may be more inclined to use a smaller, less intimidating toy.
SOLO - in the shower
The great thing about this bullet is that it’s 100% waterproof. Not water-resistant, but waterproof - which means you can take it into the bath or shower with you...and you really should. I don’t know about you, but showers (for a work from home mom) are some of the only personal time I get during the busy week and having a powerful bullet at my disposal can really help me squeeze in an orgasm or two in the morning before the chaos of the day starts.
COUPLES - “Netflix and Chill” couch games
I think the most fun I’ve had with this little bullet is having my partner drive me crazy with a long stretch of teasing and edging during our Netflix date night. We ordered in, chowed down on some of our favorite take-away pizza, and put on a movie to snuggle with on the couch. Things started to get a little frisky and he left for a minute, coming back from our bedroom with this little toy in his hands. Immediately, I was excited. I had read quite a few reviews of the Tango before pitching it as a sex toy review idea here on Sofia Gray. I was determined to keep my own first impressions (as I wrote them the first few times I used the Tango). I was very excited to test out this toy as it’s one of the more affordable ones from WeVibe, a company that I’ve known and trusted for years.
However, I’d be remiss if I didn’t share some concerning remarks on other reviews of the toy before giving my own thoughts...
“This vibrator breaks every few months but it’s so good I don’t even care and just buy multiple.”
This is the headline of a Cosmo article reviewing the toy. Now, well I love that it’s so good that it’s worth buying again if it breaks - but shouldn’t the goal here be for it not to break?
Who wants a vibrator they can only use for a few months? When I look into buying a vibrator (even a simple bullet vibe), I’m looking for a long-term thing. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like messy breakups, even with my sex toys.
This is not the first (or last) review I read that had a similar theme. Many of the negative Amazon reviews state the same things: doesn’t hold a good charge after a few uses, doesn’t work, isn’t up to the usual WeVibe standards, not worth the money...the list goes on.
So what did I actually think of the toy?
My first dance with the Tango...
I really liked this toy the first time I tried it. I was on the couch by myself and decided to have a little edging session while watching my favorite tv show. (Jared Padalecki can do that to a girl.) Feeling the power in my hands when I switched it on and flipped through the modes immediately got me excited. This is one powerful bullet.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I didn’t use the bullet for too long the first or second times because of how much it vibrated in my hands. It was the perfect warm-up for me to get me to move on to a penetration toy - and this is how I’ve continued to use it.
Getting the steps down right…
The next few times I used the toy I was a bit more concentrated on actually assessing how well the toy worked. I had a glass of wine and crawled into bed, determined to make the Tango the star of my show. I’ve never been one who can orgasm from clitoral stimulation alone (that was until I met the Satisfyer Penguin that makes me squirt almost every time I use it…) - but nonetheless, I persisted.
I did manage to get myself pretty close, which is saying a lot for someone who usually needs penetration to climax.
After a while…
Is this toy one I use often? Honestly, no. I’m not a super fan of bullet vibes. I have to be in the right mood (usually the edging myself kind of mood), so I don’t typically use them all that much. That being said, if I were to reach for one of the bullet vibes I have in my naughty drawer, this would likely be the one I go for. It is exceptionally powerful for how small it is and it really lives up to the “whisper quiet” claim, which I love. Really, the only issue I have with it (which is a pretty big one) is that the charger can be difficult, which makes the entire toy seem a bit less appealing.
I think the issue with toys like this that have so much hype around them is that sometimes we forget what they really are. This is not an intense g-spot/clitoral dual vibrator, it’s not a massive dildo and it’s not branded as a toy for couples...it’s a bullet vibrator. And as far as bullet vibes go, it’s pretty great.
It’s quiet, compact, cute, and shaped to fit well on the clit - what more could you ask for from a clitoral bullet vibe? As far as a recommendation goes, the charging situation is very annoying but could be chalked up to poor design or user error and doesn’t actually take away from how well the toy works. I would say you should buy this toy if you’re looking for something compact, discrete, and non-invasive to use by yourself or with a partner.
